Anyone is welcome to come along to our playgroups. They are great indoor and outdoor fun for children of all ages. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Caregivers are all welcome to join in, meet other people and have some fun with your children.
Playgroups are free for Dunedin Parents Centre members or $2 koha per family per session for non-members. Please bring a lunchbox for morning tea for your child. Water is available as well as hot drinks and biscuits for the adults.
Our playgroups run throughout the year except stat days – we only break during the Christmas holidays.
Home based carers are welcome to attend with a maximum of 4 children ($2/family if not members).
Toy Library can be accessed by members half an hour before closing of each playgroup and during the weekend playgroups.
You don’t need to be a member to come to playgroups but if you are planning on coming along regularly it is worth it for the extra benefits!

Monday Chinese Focus Playgroup
Monday Chinese Focus Playgroup
10am to 12noon (Mixed Ages)
Relaxed and informal environment with singing and storytime in Chinese along with some simple crafts. Suitable for children under 5 years old.
Tuesday Active Movement
Tuesday Active Movement
9.30am – 11.30am
This session is best suited to children who are at least crawling. Stations will be set up with specific active movement skills. An active music session is also included during the playgroup.
Wednesday Tums & Bums
Wednesday Tums & Bums
10.30am – 12noon
This playgroup is suited for babies under 1 (or thereabouts) and is a good chance for new mums & dads to meet other parents.
Friday Music
Friday Music
10am – 12noon
The music session runs 10.30-11 with morning tea and free play after, suitable for all ages.
